Host City - Delft
The historic town of Delft is reached in one hour from Amsterdam airport.

Congress venue
The venue of the Congress will be the Aula Conference Centre of the Delft University of Technology, which is located at the heart of the University campus and in walking distance from the Delft city centre and public transport facilities.

How to get there
Delft is situated between The Hague and Rotterdam and accessible by Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (circa 55 km from Delft) or the small Rotterdam Airport Zestienhoven (circa 15 km from Delft) or by route A13 The Hague - Rotterdam. The Netherlands has a good public transport system and Delft can be reached from Schiphol Airport in one hour.

There is a wireless network facility in the Aula Conference Centre.
The University Library next to the Aula provides internet facilities too.

Passport and Visa requirements
Persons from most European countries and the USA can enter the Netherlands without visas. In case of doubt check the requirements at the closest Embassy or Consulate of the Netherlands to make your own arrangements.

Language
The official language in the Netherlands is Dutch. The official language of the Congress will be English. No translation facilities will be available.

Bank and currency exchange
The currency is the Euro. Delegates may change foreign currency and travellers' cheques at the airport upon arrival, at many banks located in the centre of Delft and near the conference centre.

Credit cards
International credit cards are accepted for payment in most hotels and restaurants.

Insurance
The organizers of the Congress strongly recommend that participants arrange their own insurance for health, travel and property prior departure from their country. The organizers will not accept any liability for personal injury or for loss of, or damage to, property.

Electricity
Electricity supply is 220V, European standard.

Climate and Clothing
Mild winters and summers characterize the climate. Average summer temperature is 20-25°C in July. There may be showers and it is therefore advisable to bring a jacket for day/evening time and an umbrella.

Cycling through Delft
A nice and easy way to move around in Delft is by bike. At the Delft central railway station are bicycles for hire.
